Originating as an obscure Japanese idol group based near Mount Fuji, producer Akira Ishida completely shatters pop conventions with this overwhelmingly ambitious, 73-minute album. Conceptually divided by the twelve months of the year, the record utilizes dizzying time signatures, relentless genre-hopping, and dense choral arrangements sung entirely by sole teenage member Chiyono Ide. It gained significant international cult acclaim for its staggering avant-garde complexity.
