Drawing its conceptual framework from the isolated, freezing port cities of the Russian far north, the anonymous producer delivers an incredibly bleak, deeply atmospheric exploration of lo-fi house music. The heavily distorted, tape-hiss-drenched production pairs thudding, muffled kick drums with ghostly, delayed vocal samples and icy synthesizers.
