Co-produced by Ric Ocasek of The Cars, the Suicide frontman's third solo album smooths out his abrasive edge with polished, club-ready synthesizer sequencing. Vega's distinctive rockabilly-croon narrates frantic, neon-lit soundscapes, highlighted by the pulsating electro-punk anthem 'Wipeout Beat'. It successfully translated his confrontational aesthetic into a surprisingly accessible dance-rock format.
