Crisis
by Alexisonfire
Alexisonfire's third full-length, 'Crisis', expands upon their established post-hardcore framework, contrasting aggressive, punk-indebted instrumentation with increasingly prominent melodic passages and vocal harmonies. The album's concept and artwork are directly inspired by the Great Lakes Blizzard of 1977, lending a specific thematic weight to its title track. Upon release, 'Crisis' marked a commercial peak for the band, debuting at number one on the Canadian charts and achieving platinum certification while solidifying the recorded lineup with new drummer Jordan Hastings.
