De doorn

De doorn cover art

Stepping entirely away from their 'Mass' numbering convention for the first time, the Belgian post-metal collective crafted a deeply ritualistic, conceptual album sung exclusively in Flemish. Originally conceived alongside massive fire rituals performed in their home country to honor the dead, the record relies heavily on haunting spoken-word passages, terrifyingly heavy sludge riffs, and Colin H. van Eeckhout's tortured shrieks.
