You’re Free to Go
by Anjimile
North Carolina-based singer-songwriter Anjimile Chithambo's third album, 'You’re Free to Go', is a work of unflinching introspection and deep honesty, produced by Brad Cook. The album explores the complexities of change—from grief and familial estrangement to the joyful embrace of new love and non-monogamy—grounded in warm acoustic guitars, lush strings, and subtle synth textures. Influenced by experiences of getting sober and transitioning, the songs serve as a tender and liberating exploration of the Black trans experience, finding strength and grace in vulnerability.
