Hush

For their third album, the Brooklyn-based duo dials back the roaring, My Bloody Valentine-inspired shoegaze distortion of their breakthrough record in favor of icy, synthesized dream-pop. Yuki Chikudate's delicate, bilingual vocals glide over atmospheric, wintery synthesizer beds and prominent drum machines. The stylistic shift alienated some early guitar purists but resulted in an incredibly pristine, gorgeous collection of modern indie-pop.
