Originally intended to be the final Bathory album, 'Twilight of the Gods' is a sweeping, majestic culmination of Quorthon's pioneering Viking metal vision. The record completely abandons black metal speeds for highly melodic, triumphant epic doom metal paced alongside passionate choral arrangements and deep Norse mythology.
