Operating firmly within the darker, more cinematic side of the IDM spectrum, the German duo crafted an incredibly intricate third album. 'Drei' relies on sweeping, melancholy string arrangements and sci-fi movie dialogue samples, relentlessly mangled against complex, aggressive drill-and-bass drum programming.
