Released as a surprise in mid-2025, '勇気 Yuki' marks a nocturnal shift for betcover!!, trading previous art-rock impulses for a more hushed and cohesive jazz-rock sound. Engineered by Jim O'Rourke, the production favors a live-in-studio dynamic, allowing the six-piece ensemble's interplay of piano, saxophone, and taut rhythm section to breathe with clarity. The album develops from the moody, retro melodies of its opening tracks toward a more menacing and progressive structure, all guided by Jiro Yanase's theatrical and earnest vocal delivery.
