The Montreal trio continues their masterclass in overwhelming minimalism and controlled amplifier feedback. Driven by guitarist Mathieu Ball's massive, sustaining drone chords and Robin Wattie's piercing, theatrical vocal deliveries, the album creates a crushing atmosphere with surprisingly few musical elements. It is an intensely physical, suspenseful exploration of volume and negative space.
