It's Immaterial

It's Immaterial cover art

Following a move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, Chris Stewart transitions Black Marble into a solo project for this deeply nostalgic sophomore effort. The album relies heavily on vintage drum machines, chorus-drenched basslines, and lo-fi synthesizer melodies that evoke a profoundly melancholic, hypnagogic atmosphere. It is a wonderfully warm, tape-hiss-laden exercise in 1980s DIY minimal wave.
