The primary project of Captured Tracks founder Mike Sniper, this album is a definitive document of the late-2000s 'shitgaze' and lo-fi bedroom punk scene. Drowning post-punk basslines and primitive drum machines in thick layers of cheap reverb and tape hiss, the songs possess an incredibly claustrophobic, ghostly pop sensibility. It served as a highly influential blueprint for a generation of independent, DIY tape-label artists.
