Paix

Paix cover art

'Paix' integrates the group's progressive and psychedelic tendencies with their folk origins, built upon longform, suite-like compositions. The album's distinctive sound is defined by Patrice Moullet's invented instruments—the lyre-like cosmophone and rhythmic percuphone—which provide a unique foundation for droning organ passages and Catherine Ribeiro's theatrical, often declamatory, vocal delivery. Structurally dominated by two epic tracks, the album explores dark, atmospheric territory with an experimental approach that cemented its cult status in the French underground scene.
