JazzArt Underground

Recorded live at the festival of the same name, 'JazzArt Underground' documents the Katowice-based quintet Ciśnienie's sprawling and intense synthesis of post-rock, free improvisation, and experimental jazz. The album consists of four long-form compositions that build from ambient textures and classical sensibilities into powerful, rhythm-driven climaxes featuring violin, saxophone, and heavily distorted bass. It captures the band's formative sound, characterized by a dynamic, improvisational approach that eschews conventional structures for a more atmospheric and catastrophic mood.
