An early, highly influential artifact of the hypnagogic movement, this release by former Liars bassist Pat Noecker heavily distorts Southern rap samples into eerie, molasses-paced experimental soundscapes. It aggressively manipulates the Houston 'chopped and screwed' aesthetic, slowing down hip-hop vocals until they become terrifying, demonic drones. The cassette laid critical groundwork for the ensuing vaporwave and eccojam subcultures.
