Psychocephalic Spawning

Conceived as an entirely solo effort by multi-instrumentalist Matt Thudium, this completely atonal record pushes the conventions of heavy music to the point of literal absurdity. The project merges the gurgling, incomprehensible aesthetic of gorenoise with heavily improvised, dizzyingly fast free-jazz drumming. It was widely regarded by the extreme metal underground as a horrifying, brilliant exercise in total musical deconstruction.
