Recorded in late 1960 for the New Jazz label, 'Far Cry' famously pairs Eric Dolphy's highly vocalized, radical horn playing with the brilliant trumpeter Booker Little. This angular session captures Dolphy rapidly transitioning away from conventional bebop structures toward his idiosyncratic, deeply complex approach to harmony.
