Long Season

'Long Season' is a single 35-minute composition that expands on the band's earlier track "Season," progressing through distinct movements that blend dream pop, dub, and neo-psychedelia. The piece builds from recurring, hypnotic piano and keyboard melodies with steady, syncopated drumming, before dissolving into atmospheric, experimental passages and ultimately returning to a grand, layered reprise of its initial themes. Co-produced with ZAK, the album's meticulous sound design layers Shinji Sato's gentle vocals with a wide instrumental palette including violin, accordion, and various percussion, creating a fluid, immersive work regarded as a landmark in Japanese rock.
