Sol Niger Within
by Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects
A radical departure for the Meshuggah guitarist, 'Sol Niger Within' is a hallucinatory suite of technical death metal and frantic jazz fusion. The solo project employs mechanical, polyrhythmic drumming and Holdsworth-inflected legato solos to construct an alien, virtuosic soundscape.
