Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Odd Numb3rs And Slanted Rhymes' is the debut full-length album by Los Angeles singer-songwriter Gary Calamar, a Grammy-nominated music supervisor and radio DJ long embedded in the city's music scene. It gathers fifteen songs recorded between 2014 and 2026, from his 2014 EP material through to new tracks, plus two bonus remixes, all produced by John Would. Guests include Robyn Hitchcock on 'Who Are We Gonna Be Today?', Maria Taylor on 'Little Tokyo' and Mark Mothersbaugh on a reworking of 'I Got An Idea', one of Calamar's earliest songs, dating back to 1990. The sound is hook-heavy, witty guitar pop drawing on power pop, jangle pop and garage rock.
