Recorded at the historic Ballintubbert House after a prolonged hiatus due to frontman Dara Kiely's mental health struggles, the Dublin quartet (who later renamed to Gilla Band) delivers a masterclass in terrifying, rhythmic noise. The record utilizes bizarre guitar tunings, contact microphones, and the natural echo of the estate to create a suffocating, industrial post-punk atmosphere. It operates as a brilliant, intensely uncomfortable simulation of severe panic and dissociation.
