Operating under a new moniker to differentiate themselves from the Ozzy Osbourne era, this project reunited the legendary 'Mob Rules' lineup of Black Sabbath featuring Ronnie James Dio. The album avoids trying to recapture their frantic youth, instead delivering incredibly slow, crushing doom metal riffs anchored by Dio's astonishingly powerful late-career vocal performance. It serves as a dignified, incredibly heavy swan song for the iconic frontman, who passed away a year later.
