Orpheus vs. the Sirens

Teaming up with producer Animoss, the incredibly prolific underground MC Ka crafted a brilliant, drumless concept album framed entirely around classic Greek mythology. Animoss provides incredibly haunting, cinematic soul loops over which Ka delivers his signature hushed, immensely poetic street narratives, directly comparing his struggles in Brooklyn to the trials of Orpheus. It is widely considered a deeply literate, masterfully executed high point of the drumless rap renaissance.
