Long before her Academy Award-winning work on the 'Joker' score, the Icelandic cellist delivered this devastatingly beautiful, mournful solo album. Featuring contributions from J贸hann J贸hannsson and Sk煤li Sverrisson, the record relies almost entirely on her resonant, heavily bowed cello playing accompanied by subtle electronic hums. The compositions perfectly evoke the vast, freezing desolation of her native landscapes.
