The debut from London trio Hot Face, 'Automated Response' is a 25-minute blast of garage and psychedelic punk rooted in the raw energy of early UK punk. The album's significance is tied to its unique creation, having been recorded live to tape in a single day at Abbey Road Studios, with the final take captured in front of an audience. Producer Dan Carey manipulated the sound in real-time, preserving a frenetic, unfiltered quality that serves as a raucous ode to live music, complete with all blemishes.
