Functioning entirely as a solo project for S. Holliman, this extraordinarily lo-fi release was highly instrumental in cultivating the American depressive suicidal black metal scene. The agonizing, heavily distorted vocal shrieks and painfully slow, repetitive riffing create a suffocatingly bleak, profoundly isolated atmosphere that remains a benchmark of the underground.
