Red Sun Through Smoke

Recorded against the backdrop of devastating British Columbia wildfires and the declining health of his grandfather, the Vancouver-based artist channels profound environmental and personal grief. The project relies on his soaring, classically trained tenor vocals heavily distorted through malfunctioning analog tape decks. The resulting degradation creates an incredibly fragile, smoky atmosphere that mirrors the choking reality of his surroundings.
