Marking a transitional period for the Norwegian extreme metal icons, this release increasingly incorporates the breakneck speed and riffing structures of classic Teutonic thrash. While retaining their signature lyrical focus on the frozen mythical realm of Blashyrkh, the production is noticeably thicker and more rhythmically driving than their earlier, frostbitten sound.
