Fables

Isabel Pine's debut album 'Fables' synthesizes modern classical and electronic ambient traditions into a series of brief, meditative vignettes. A classically trained string player, Pine recorded the album in and around a remote cabin in British Columbia, integrating the natural reverb and sounds of the surrounding wilderness directly into her compositions. The resulting work is an intimate and atmospheric collection of instrumental pieces for violin, viola, cello, and double bass that blurs the line between composition and field recording.
