Rescued from obscurity by the Habibi Funk label, this release unearths a lost 1977 cassette by the Lebanese folk musician and founder of the band Ferkat Al Ard. Recorded in exile in Paris during the Lebanese Civil War, the music brilliantly fuses traditional Arabic melodies with Western psychedelic folk and bossa nova acoustic guitar. It is a stunning historical document of cross-cultural musical resilience.
