Eating and Sleeping (#15)
by Kleg
An incredibly obscure and fascinating artifact from the Dutch avant-garde, Kleg merged early post-rock structuralism with chaotic turntable manipulation and free jazz instrumentation. The primarily instrumental album builds intense, apocalyptic atmospheres through repetitive, totalist rhythms and jarring brass dissonance. It represents a highly progressive, deeply experimental bridge between post-punk and the emerging 1990s post-rock scene.
