On 'Přílišnost (Excess)', the solo project Kostnatění delivers a dense and disorienting form of extreme metal, pivoting from the sound of its predecessors. The album's compact and violent songs are built from progressive riffs played on uniquely alt-tuned guitars, which interweave with a chaotic mix of industrial textures, avant-garde black metal, and punishing death metal breakdowns. This sonic maximalism is complemented by moody synthesizers and introspective themes dedicated to the destructive pursuit of self-perfection.
