Recording live in the studio in their native Oslo, the Norwegian sextet expands their blackened hardcore sound by heavily incorporating classic 1970s arena rock and progressive metal elements. The album famously utilizes three-guitar harmonies reminiscent of Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden, backing Erlend Hjelvik's trademark throat-shredding vocal deliveries. It would prove to be Hjelvik's final studio album before departing the band in 2018.
