Continuing his remarkably prolific run, the anonymous solo artist behind the project injected heavily pronounced 1980s deathrock and gothic rock grooves into his incredibly raw black metal framework. The album perfectly balances furious, lo-fi tremolo picking with swaggering, deeply infectious post-punk basslines and clean acoustic interludes.
