Framed as an ambitious concept album exploring reincarnation and human equality through conversations with 'God' (voiced by Neil deGrasse Tyson), this project heavily focuses on themes of biracial identity and mental health. Fueled by the massive, Grammy-nominated suicide prevention anthem '1-800-273-8255', it achieved massive commercial success. However, critics heavily polarized over its heavy-handed lyricism and grandiose conceptual execution.
