The collaborative project of Norwegian musicians Jenny Hval and Håvard Volden takes a deeply atmospheric approach to art pop on their second full-length. The album weaves hypnotic synthesizer arpeggios with improvised acoustic guitars, providing a surreal, mysterious backdrop for Hval's spoken-word and ethereal vocal passages.
