Operating under one of his many pseudonyms, Wolfgang Voigt crafted a remarkably lush, hypnotic exploration of minimal techno. The record heavily loops incredibly brief, micro-sampled disco and funk fragments, burying them beneath pulsating four-on-the-floor kicks and dense, atmospheric dub delays. This technique of utilizing microscopic, repetitive sampling laid crucial foundational groundwork for the revered Kompakt label aesthetic.
