The Norwegian avant-garde vocalist and composer utilizes a custom-built, pump-organ-like instrument to score a ballet adaptation of Knut Hamsun's classic novel 'Hunger'. The record features deeply unsettling, breathy improvisations and dissonant post-minimalist structures. It functions as a harrowing, highly physical exploration of starvation and psychological decay.
