For their fourth studio album, the Gothenburg quintet incorporated massive, shimmering analog synthesizers to expand their trademark gloomy, driving post-punk sound. The record still heavily relies on Maja Milner's incredibly powerful, passionate vocal performances, navigating profound existentialism and romantic grief atop highly propulsive drum grooves. It represents their most sonically lush and remarkably consistent release yet.
