Lazy Ways
by Marine Girls
The second and final album from Tracey Thorn's early, lo-fi quartet is a charming exercise in minimalist, acoustic-driven indie pop. The bare-bones production perfectly frames the group's innocent, slightly melancholic vocal harmonies and rudimentary instrumentation. It exerted a tremendous influence over the development of twee pop and the subsequent C86 movement in the British underground.
