Following the departure of founding member Brent Knopf, the Portland duo utilized this record to intimately process deeply personal themes regarding their respective mothers. The result is a musically playful yet emotionally vulnerable indie-rock album, heavily utilizing their signature, quirky multi-instrumental loops.
