Self-described as 'scarlet doom', the Italian quartet's sophomore effort is a deeply atmospheric, highly unique fusion of traditional doom metal and elegant dark jazz. The aquatic-themed concept album heavily features Rhodes piano, mournful saxophone interludes, and Sara Bianchin's remarkably soulful, clean vocal performances. It stood out significantly within the heavy metal underground for its incredible sophistication and bluesy swagger.
