Metoronori connects the record's title to the Japanese homophones for a reef and the opening sounds of a personal identification number. The songs trace a coastal landscape through fragments of everyday encounters, including a restaurant visit and a boat journey. Metoronori wrote and performed all the music, with mastering by Amir Shoat and artwork by Basia Srzeżek.
