Originally released in 1981, 'Ki-Motion' is the debut album from the Japanese percussion group led by composer Midori Takada. The album is a masterful exploration of minimalism, blending African and Asian percussive traditions with ambient synthesizers to create a spiritual and hypnotic soundscape. This seminal work of Japanese ambient and Fourth World music was reissued in 2018, bringing its lush and expansive compositions to a new generation of listeners.
