Konrad Becker's profoundly obscure minimal synth project yielded this masterclass in sparse, deeply hypnotic electronic music. Stripped of almost all melodic progression, 'Monotonprodukt 07' utilizes relentlessly repetitive drum machines and icy synthesizers to create a highly mechanical, incredibly dark, and futuristic nocturnal atmosphere that significantly predates modern techno minimalism.
