Demilitarize

On his second album 'Demilitarize', Nazar turns his abrasive "rough kuduro" sound inward, moving from the external conflict of his debut to deeply personal themes of love and mortality spurred by a serious illness. The production trades the dense field recordings of his past for a more fragile and cinematic soundscape, where fractured rhythms and glowing synth pads create a metaphysical, sci-fi inspired atmosphere. A defining feature is Nazar's own submerged, Auto-Tuned vocals, which guide the listener through this introspective journey with a delicate, mantra-like delivery in both English and Portuguese.
