Guerrilla
by Nazar
Operating as a deeply personal and political document, the producer explores the violent history of the Angolan civil war, a conflict his own father participated in. He coined the term 'rough kuduro' to describe his brutal fusion of traditional Angolan dance rhythms with harsh industrial textures and distorted sound collages. The record actively subverts the traditionally upbeat nature of kuduro to reflect generational trauma and survival.
