Intimacy
by Opposition
Following a major label transition, this deeply atmospheric sophomore album saw the London-based trio expanding upon their brooding, dub-inflected post-punk roots. 'Intimacy' features Mark Marcus's intensely melancholic vocals floating over highly textured, delay-drenched guitars and rigid, driving rhythms reminiscent of early The Cure or The Chameleons. Despite producing a masterful, critically respected slice of dark wave, the band tragically remained overlooked within the crowded British independent landscape.
