Released on John Zorn's Tzadik imprint, this project finds the Japanese avant-garde pioneer steering a large ensemble through remarkably subdued, surreal reinterpretations of jazz and pop standards. The album eschews Yoshihide's trademark abrasive noise in favor of delicate, ethereal textures and guest vocal performances by Jun Togawa.
